you should take a look into the gamecock hotel at harworth doncaster, there daughter 15 years old collecting glasses, pregnant daughter serving behind bar, her child 2 year old running about at all hours, the landlord daughter aged 8 in bar till midnight evernight, the sons sleeping in celler to let sister and child live there, and the owner ian always drunk and giving free beer away!!!!

i would just like to reply to this message as i do not agree with what has been said  , i've been drinking in the gamecock hotel since i moved to the village near on 2 years now , as for slatting the manager i think this is total nonsence , i have always been greeted with a smile from ALL members of staff they all have alot of respect for the customers and i would really like to know what is wrong with a pregnant lady serving behind a bar?(pregnancy is NOT a disease you can catch)
And as for the landlords 8yr old daughter being in the bar till midnight everynight,seeming customers have to be out of the building before 11:30pm i find it rather interessting as to how you'd of know this information ?  DAVE

Harworth yes that is another interesting place I have never visited. Please could I ask if Emily and Charlotte Bronte are buried there, I know Anne is buried in Scarborough as I saw it many years ago when I was on holiday with my parents.

why not try a visit to the gamecock at harworth, then you can see what a big fib it is about the current landlord always drunk and their kids running about till midnight.
i used to work in the pub a few years ago and believe me the present landlord and his family are always pleasent, unless you upset them and they have to bar you for various misconduct such as compulsive swearing or urinating outside.
the children are always very polite and do not run riot round the pub.
they are always out of the pub before 9pm at the extreme latest which was halloween night of which there was a party laid on especially for the customers children.normally the children are in bed well before 8.30p.
i am a regular in this pub and think that maybe the person who keeps slating the landlord and his family have more than likely been barred from the pub for something or it is their idea of a sick joke.
even down to phoning the brewery to try to spoil the kids halloween party by saying they were going to have music , which was a total lie as i was present when a customer offered to provide music and was told by ian the landlord, thank you but no there will deffinately be no music.
so to the person who is trying to give the landlord and his family a bad name,
why not stand up and let everyone know who you are as their is probrably 99% of the pub who dont agree with what you are doing.
if you want a warm welcome and a good atmosphere then come and see for yourselves, dont take my word.
P>S>  the pregnant lady does smile and she is not due for her maternity leave yet so back off and give them a chance.

Why could'nt they have the music anyway seeing as it was Halloween and if Humph found out the landlord could say it was just a few of the customers messing about and having a laugh.

someone did ring the brewery and humph did come down, i missed his visit, but he ought to have asked the customers what was going on and they would have told him the truth.
i think ian and jackie and family have just got a stalker that has either got it in for them or think its a huge joke,
anyway musics good, but coss there isn,t any in the game cock we have to make our own fun through conversation, and have a great laugh in there.more and more people seem to join in our crowd every week,so come on in while you can still get a seat.
