Xmas
« on: Dec 4 - 2009 »
Does anyone know whether this Xmas & New Year will have no extensions again, or has the brewery relaxed last year's policy?

A very good question - and as a result, I've taken the radical decision to ring the Brewery! In answer to the question 'are any SS pubs having extensions to opening hours over Christmas and New Year - a charming woman on reception said "I don't think so, normal closing time - New Years Eve, closing is 12 midnight".

:o What a novel idea, calling SSOB for an answer. Now we know. 8)

'andrewtwelvetrees' - so I take it you don't celebrate the coming of the New Year in 'market rason'? Although I'm a little surprised you can't correctly spell the name of your home town - Market Rasen (with an 'e')!

However, I would be interested in the name of your local if it is also in Market Rasen - as we don't appear to have it listed in our archives (yet?).

Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.
