Surely that's not true I was once led to believe quite some time ago that Mr. Smith is an animal lover. Please tell me you are joking.

No, I'm sure that's the case.

Sorry to see sillysod bringing class and possibly urban prejudice into this. Although I have never ridden on a horse in my life, and certainly could not afford to run one, I certainly would defend the right of anyone to go hunting. Although Humphrey may make some very strange business decisions, and i am no supporter of his methods, lets remember that he is no different from the vast majority of farmers in this country in welcoming the hunt over his land. Having seen the damage that foxes can do, I have no problem with this particular aspect, indeed many of his farming policies may be above average. However the management of his pubs is a different matter........

ademapearl you are saying you would defend the right of anyone to inflict cruelty because that is what fox hunting is and foxes do some good as well by keeping down the rat and rabbit population. I am very saddened that Mr Smith chooses to let the hunt inflict their evil on his land as I thought that although he has no regard for people he at leased cared about animals, after all most of Sam Smiths beers are approved by the Vegan Society. I am not trying to wind anyone up with what I am saying and I am deadly serious about my feelings for animals.

I will not mention the subject again, you are right it has nothing to do with what this site is about.

Just heard on the grapevine that HS has stopped the garage building that was being done on the A64 wbc just before the Aggrah at Tadcaster. Planning permission in place through Selby to sort out this eyesore, gets half built and then he stops it.....why? oh yes, beacuse he can!! >:( :( :'(

and don't forget the objection to the electricity pylons and the refusal to the sale of the bit of land for the safe walking route to school in Tadcaster. We need to start collecting all this info in one place IMHO.
