Inappropriate Website?
« on: Jan 19 - 2010 »
Anyone else noticed that reference to this website has been removed from the Wikipedia Sam Smith page for being 'inappropriate'? That's a shame as that's how I found this site.

It seems a strange decisions, as this site is probably more appropriate (and comprehensive) with regards to the brewery, and associated current issues, than any other resource on the net.

The decision was probably made by some liberally minded fool, who probably enjoys the beers and cheap prices, but couldn't give a damn about the managers and staff that suffer - or the regular customers who've been forced to other venues, or had to painfully witness their beloved locals demise, and their hosts suffering.

It's also interesting to note that the Wikipedia entry is incorrect on a number of matters - such as claiming that the brewery is owned by Humphrey Smith, when of course as we know he is one of two main shareholders of an 'unlimited registered company' (an entity in itself), and ownership is shared by the shareholders. With records no longer being public - other shareholders may exist - and of course there is more than one company!

Now the link has been removed, others taking employment with the brewery, may be unaware of what they are letting themselves in for (assuming they don't find this site by other means , i.e. Google)!
Always in support of the Samuel Smiths Brewery - although very concerned about the current company strategy towards its staff and customers, as exercised by the Directors. We believe in promoting common sense, decency, compassion, fairness and compliance with company, employment and English law.
