Can anyone tell me what DRAUGHT beers (real ales if you will) are available, aside from OBB, (not including the stout, sovereign, lagers etc) as at Feb 2010, and where anything a bit unusual can be had- if anything? Sightings of the wheatbeer helpful too. Has there been a move to take cask OBB out of some pubs recently? I get the impression it has gone from the Swan at Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Is it the case? Bottles of Oatmeal stout and Porter have gone from the Whipping Stocks, also the Strong Golden. Has the latter ceased to be? (I thought a pint of OBB with an inch drunk off then topped with Strong Golden, gave a fair taste of Museum ale, as was). Is there any fairly recent history of beers I never saw, in say the last 10 years? Any info welcomed! Cheers an' beers!

Wheatbeer was available on draught at the Borough Bailiff in Knaresborough, maybe someone will know if this is still the case?

Wow. Thought it had. Such a shame, but if it wasn't selling......
I'll miss it. Not really a lover of strong beers, but I made an exception for that.
Ta, Barsteward, for the info. Still a reasonable range of bottles tho' (for now?).
Cheers!

Wheat Beer is on at the Prince of Wales, North Shields.  I think some of the bottled beers like Stout and Porter are now only produced in non-returnable bottles and are only sold to the off trade, although if anyone knows differently I'd be pleased to hear.

Take A bottle of Sams nut brown, take the top off and let it sit for a day in room temp. then chill slightly if desired and hey presto a pint of museum tasting ale. (but not as strong sadly.)
