A very good question indeed - if anyone has any more info on this, then please post here.
Meanwhile - I do know that at least one 'food associated venue' has already suffered. It would appear that the popular fish and chips menu at a Sam Smiths Whitby venue - has already had the chop!
If that's really the case - then I still can't get my head around, why upsetting loyal customers, can in anyway prove commercially viable. In fact it's sheer bonkers!
I know that Sam Smiths have been great so far as the bar prices go - but I know of many who are now prepared to (reluctantly) pay more at another venue, so as to get something that has been taken away from their usual Sam Smiths local.
This could be now any one (or more) of the following..
- More choice of beverages
- More choice of meals and snacks
- Choice of entertainment
- More accommodating external smoking facilities
- More relaxed, helpful and happier management and staff - who are not being ignored and down-trodden!
