I've only seen the nuts and fake mini cheddars which apparently are indeed foul but I couldn't be persuaded to try one myself!  Even the packaging shouts "cheap and nasty!". The dray should be dropping off crisps at my local tomorrow so hopefully they won't be too bad.

Our locals seem to like the crisps! Maybe we have turned a negative to a positive?

Hmm... They (nuts and cheesy things) seem to have gone down rather well at my local, especially the chilli nuts!

Crisps haven't arrived yet, but it looks promising... :)

Not tried them myself yet - but a friend said that the mini-cheddar equivalents were far too salty. Also heard someone last night stating, "they are the worst crisps I've ever tasted..", everyone laughed, "no seriously..". I'll see about some tasting with friends tomorrow. I'm sure they must be OK. Surely Smith can't get everything wrong, can he?

Our customers like the salted nuts(up to now).  Just got the crisps, but according to the drayman who had some last night(Tuesday), they are "quite good".

We tried the cheesy biscuits last night. The packaging is even more unattractive than a Morrisons value brand product, in a sickly mustard colour. The contents were more salty and tasted a bit worse than the branded ones offered before, but unlike most own brand stuff you get in supermarkets they were no cheaper than a branded variety. Trying to be generous, perhaps the difference in taste was due to the fact that there were no artificial additives, for which I suppose we should be thankful. It will be interesting to await the arrival of the crisps!

I am going in the Crows Nest in Cleethorpes and see if they have these crisps in yet. Trouble is it has gone a bit dead of late don't know why.

Well, credit where credit's due: I tried the beef and cheese and onion crispis last night and I have to say they're very good. Proper british crisps. Even the packaging looks good.

Totally agree OnTHeDrink, credit where credits due. Regulars tried the crisps and they were very impressed. So in all they like the nuts and the crisps.  At last he's done something right.

Hmmm. Interesting comment. I'd imagine if you'd actually been in a Sam Smiths pub over the last few days you'd have something more substantial to add to the dialogue - such as how you found the new snacks?  As I said, credit where credit's due.
