Been it today. The Eston is an estate pub.Two big rooms, no handpulled and did not see any mild. Don't think it would get much passing trade.  Locals ok. Only managed to take the bar area. I had a feeling that I was maybe not too welcome.  Or maybe it was just me.  Somebody did ask me if I was Humphrey.

In photo #1, if you look closely you can make out where the handpulled pumps where mounted.

Probably had a lot of strangers walking into all these SS pubs. Can't believe that they thought you were Humphrey Smith, did you have a scruffy suit on and wellies

You're only a few streets away from I call 'behind enemy lines'.  Makes my local swamp estate look like Shangri-la!

I have to say that the broken car window glass in the carpark makes you think a bit.

Well it didn't look too bad to me. But then I've been told that I live me life wearing rose tinted glasses.   ;D

Reminds me of the Crows Nest in Cleethorpes very similar building,that too has a large Tap Room

Yes it does and I'll have to pop off to Cleethorpes to take some photos.  Last year I had 7 weeks in Grimsby less then a mile from the Crows Nest and never found time to pop back in.
