I've been told that Humphrey comes into his bars, buys half a pint of OBB and sits down in a corner.  He sips his beer looking around the room, drinks up and leaves without telling the staff who he is.

He usually announces himself to the staff in my local and asks to see the managers if they're not down.  That said, I've had to tip off the barstaff a couple of times as he did indeed just walk in, ordered a half of OBB, then started wandering around.  Generally easy to spot though - obvious signs of "old money" - dishevelled appearance, only a few coins in the pocket, and the big blue folder of P&L printouts!
