2 more managers sacked!

Been told that managers from two more Sam Smiths pubs have been sacked for after hours drinking.  I cannot understand why managers put there jobs on the line by doing it?

It's something landlords have always done and will continue to do to make extra money.

If these particular are trying to meet targets and not quite there then they may regard after hours drinking as a way to narrow the gap to the target.

Who knows?

Humphrey has had all the clocks on the till put to the correct time so he has got a way of checking when last drinks are served.

A bit back a manager told me that he always "Rings the money in the next day".  Years ago when I was asked to stay back.(not a SS pub) The till was always taken out and cashed up, and the money was pull on the top of the till.

If it was me, the logical way would be to cash up on time and remove the tills...and take cash and ring it on the next day...so not to get caught by the SS!

Hand on heart I can inform everyone that my missus and I, when working for the Fuhrer, never did after time, never. The reasons being are threefold. 1st. Once started it is expected all the time. 2nd the ones you don't invite will take offence, and 3rd we were always too knackered.

Spot on blueboy.  It certainly is a daft thing to do.  Can't understand why people would want to do it.  We work more than enough hours without creating extra ones.

If managers are unhappy with the extra hours they are forced to work, why would they want to serve after time. Ican understand them wanting some r & r with their friends after a long shift, but in reality, they are further lining HS`s pockets.
