re; 5% surplus

there seems to be a myth going around that the obb casks are over filled. surely, if they were, additional duty would have to be paid on each cask. i was told by a stocktaker that every cask looses aprox 4 - 6 pints, maybe 8! is this right. i've spent years in the trade & never had a deficit. now we do. any help welcome. ice.

hi there funny you should say that we have suddenly started to get deficits as well even though we have the same staff and nothing has changed. might be a good idea to dip barrels before soft pegging and keep a record, in fact i would advise all managers to keep a diary of events no matter how insignificant it might seem to be, any employment solicitor will tell you the same, its amazing what you forget and no-one will take your word so write it down.

theres allways been 37 gallon in a cask of obb but you lose half to a gallon at the end so no excuses.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who don't understand, no explanation is possible.

are there 19 gallons in an eighteen?  ???

who pays the duty on the extra gallon?

our stocktaker, who has been with the company for a long time, states that you lose a gallon whether it be a 18 or a 36. his job is to count stock & give a result. there's no reason he should make false statements. surely. ice.
