Has anybody got any idea what these new collection reports are about? Do they replace the current weekly machine reconciliation sheets we fill out every week? Do we send these sheets in every week? Regarding the second memo are the Stocktakers going to help with the emptying and counting of the monies on the morning of a stocktake and then wait while we do a safe check after adding the machine take?
Just in case anybody hasn't had the memos here they are word for word.

Due to the increasing anomalies regarding the cash for pool tables and the machines you are required to complete the enclosed sheets on the same day of each week (Saturday night or sunday morning) and the day before each stocktake

If you have any queries regarding the completion of the enclosed sheet please contact the stocktaking department although i am sure you will agree they are self explanatory.

Also sent was a second memo.

Further to my memo dated 2 October 2008 the stocktakers have requested that the pool tables and machines be EMPTIED the MORNING of the stocktake.

Thank you.

Have I missed something? or is it just me, BUT ISN'T THAT WHAT WE DO ANYWAY. (Except for the day they are emptied)

the memo i was sent said that we would be held responsible for any shortfall with the machines, well that is not in my contract and niether is the extra 52 hours a year i have to work to empty them. i had an incident a few months back where our machine was ripped of by 2 young lads (well known in the area by other pub managers and now me) and we didnt have a clue till i did the count and got the mechanic out i was told i was responsible but i will not give any money back and they are not allowed to take it out of your wage.
