Moving On
« on: Feb 22 - 2009 »
My husband and myself had the misfortune of the rathe of Mr Smith as most will have previously read, :( however we are now looking at moving on and we was interested to hear if any others who had met the same grisly ending had done the same and been sucessful!!?? :)
We are currently applying within the Greene king company and Just wondering really as to whether the Mr Smith experience hindered the chances of a fresh start!  :o

Also does anyone know of any other "suitable" brewery's to work for???

Thanx Cookoo  ;)

I cant answer your question cuckoo but the people i speak to tell me that the industry as a whole are well aware of whats going on at taddy towers and the smith brothers are generally regarded as a laughing stock among their peers, with that in mind it shouldn,t spoil your chances of future employment, good luck ;)
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.

Some good news - my local's ex manager and his wife (who were unfairly sacked by Humphrey for not actioning his draconian staff hours cut) have now secured a new pub management position in Wales - good luck and best wishes to them both. There is life after Humphrey! :)

My husband and i recently had an interview with London Town Pubs and a couple of days ago recieved a phone call to ask us if we would be interested in running a local pub!! They are currently waiting for the pub to be handed over to them before we can confirm employement and dates but we are so pleased to at least be considered for another management position!!

Bonus was that our interviewer was previously employed by Sams, and when he saw it on our CV he had a few explanations as to why we were "Ex-Employee's".

Please keep fingers, toes and eyes crossed for us!!
